Course Content & Materials

Each Artist/Instructor will act as Course Administrator and
will be responsible for uploading their own courses to the
Thinkific platform, or finding technical help to do so if needed.

This is where you will set up your Course on the Academy website (login and Profile instructions will be provided). NOTE: All content created in this form will automatically be sent to the Site Admin.

THINKIFIC IMAGE+VIDEO SIZES
Images must be the sizes listed below or will not display properly

Instructor Profile:
• Your name, Email, Title (add your medium(s), separated by dashes eg. Mixed media – Paperclay – Porcelain)
• Bio: add short biography – 100 words max
• Instructor image: 500px x 500px (must be this size)

CONTENT MATERIALS
Course Landing page banner: 1440px x 720px
(NOTE: do not add text on your Landing banner)
Course Card: 760px x 420px (thumbnail image on Academy Homepage – add your name and Course Title to the artwork)

ARCHIVE & LEGACY COURSES
Archive: Current Artist Members’ older class content, videos, tapes, or DVDs are still relevant and have value for students.
Legacy:
Deceased members can also have Legacy Courses on the Academy, managed by heirs or given to NIADA for our management.

PROMO VIDEO:
Create a promo video to use on your Course Landing Page and upload it to your folder in the Academy Google Drive for the Site Admin.
IMPORTANT! Please label the video file ‘Promo’ with your Initials and shortened Course title. (eg. Promo-CM-ABean.mp4)

CONTENT FOR THE SITE ADMIN
LANDING PAGE – accessible only to Site Admin

This is the Sales page for your Course(s), each will have a dedicated Landing (Sales) page. The Site Admin will create this for the Instructors.

  • Instructors will supply Site Admin banner image for their Course Landing page: 1440px x 720px (See links in COURSE ADMINS section)
  • Instructors are responsible for uploading their Promo Video and files to their folder on the Academy Google Drive and labeling the video ‘PROMO’.

CREATE A PRIVATE FACEBOOK GROUP
Create a Private Facebook Group for your Course to connect with your Students and share their progress. How To Create A Facebook Group
Customize your Group URL: You can edit your Facebook Group URL link, so it has your Course name — it is not necessary but makes it easier to find. Be sure to include your Facebook Group link in the ‘Welcome Letter’ on the form.

  • Do this in your Facebook Group Settings > Customize Group – Click on the PENCIL icon

Promote your Course!
The Course Landing page is your “Sales” webpage to showcase and promote your Course. This is the first-page potential students will see and learn about the Course you have to offer. Adding a short promotional video along with interesting images will encourage students to enroll.

Offer a discount to Students and/or NIADA Members
Contact the Academy Site Admin (Chris Chomick) to create your Gift Certificate Coupon Code.
Include the following information:
For (person or Event) – Discount amount ($ or %) – Instructor Name – Course Name – Expiration date

    23. Presence on the Academy: After you load your course and request to publish, it will remain as an offering on the Academy until you remove it or pass away. You can direct the Academy to remove your courses after you pass on, or if you'd like your teaching legacy to continue long-term, please set up a beneficiary name and contact or verify that post-mortem benefits are to be donated to NIADA.
